Paint correction
What is paint correction?
Over time your cars paint will swirl, fade and etch in defects. to remove these imperfections in the paint your vehicle must undergo paint correction. what paint correction is in simple terms is shaving the top layer of your paint with a high speed buffer to reveal a smooth, flat and glossy surface.
Paint correction is a blanket term in the detailing industry to describe machine polishing the paint of your vehicle. There are also other terms used to describe paint correction such as polishing and buffing. please note that paint correction is not waxing
There is also different stages to to a good correction. In most cases 2 steps will be needed to achieve optimal gloss for your vehicle. The first stage possibly involves wet sanding and the use of a heavy cut compound to remove majority of defects. The second stage is the fine polishing phase which will remove finer scratches and give you a deeper shine.
Usually paint correction would be followed by a ceramic coating. it is in your best interest to have your car immediately ceramic coated after a correction job to lock in the gloss and protection of your freshly corrected paint

Paint enhancement is quit similar to correction. both a paint correction and enhancement job will use the same tools and techniques to shave down your paint but what makes them different is the products used to shine your paint surface. and enhancement job will use a product with fillers to enhance the paints gloss. enhancements a cheap alternative to correction as it removes oxidation and brings backs a certain level of gloss.
